Making a Difference in the

Greater Hartford Community

The Greater Hartford Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. raised $4,000 for Hands on Hartford's Backpack Nutrition Program and joined the organization on Veteran's Day to pack over 350 backpacks. Their funds will also go to help cover additional supplies for future weeks. The families not only raised the funds, but came together to learn about food insecurity in the Great Hartford Area and then use their time to pack the food into the backpacks that get distributed to area schools for children to bring home over the weekend.
